{"id":53,"date":"2013-10-06T18:37:21","date_gmt":"2013-10-06T16:37:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.emperial.dk\/?p=53"},"modified":"2013-10-06T18:37:21","modified_gmt":"2013-10-06T16:37:21","slug":"the-remote-dvd-player-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emperial.dk\/?p=53","title":{"rendered":"The Remote DVD player project."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What to do when you just get the urge to watch a DVD movie?<br \/>\nwell over time i discarded alle my DVD players and went on using Popcorn Hour A110\/WD TV Live Media players<\/p>\n<p>I discovered the project called <a title=\"https:\/\/github.com\/markschultz\/dvdreadfs\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/markschultz\/dvdreadfs\" target=\"_blank\">DVDReadFS<\/a> The project enables a machine to read a DVD and remove the macro vision on the fly,<\/p>\n<p>first i installed the following packages:<br \/>\nlibdvdcss, fuse and the fuse-devel packages<\/p>\n<p>then followed the guide at <a title=\"https:\/\/github.com\/markschultz\/dvdreadfs\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/markschultz\/dvdreadfs\" target=\"_blank\">DVDReadFS<\/a> for compiling DVDReadFS, i ended up making a permanent mount point in \/etc\/fstab<\/p>\n<pre>dvdreadfs#\/dev\/hdd \/mnt\/dvd1 fuse ro,kernel_cache,allow_other 0 0<\/pre>\n<p>I then shared the mount point in samba.
